Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This policy explains what Valanos (“we”, “us”), at valanos.app, collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Account details. If you create an account: your email address and your password. We store the password only as a one-way scrambled “hash”; we can't see or recover it.
- Bets you choose to log. The matches, sides, prices and stakes you save in My bets, plus the model's numbers at that moment and the final results.
- A sign-in cookie. One cookie (
oj_session) keeps you signed in. It's strictly necessary for accounts to work and isn't used for tracking or advertising. Your odds-format and league choices are kept in your own browser's storage. - Your email preference. Whether you've chosen to get the weekend board email, and when you opted in.
- Feedback you send us. Your message, the page or match it was about, and your email if you give it or are signed in.
- Anonymous usage statistics. To see what's working, we count things like page views, matches analyzed, sign-ups and which website sent a visitor. We do this ourselves, with no third-party analytics service and no cookies. We don't store IP addresses. Each visitor is counted using a code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you or linked across days. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, we don't count you at all. We keep these statistics for up to 400 days.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (which can include IP addresses) to run and secure the service.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We don't use advertising or social-media tracking pixels.
- We don't take or place bets, and we don't collect payment details.
How we use it
- To run your account, show and grade your logged bets, and keep you signed in.
- To send emails you ask for, such as password-reset links.
- Only if you opt in: to send the weekend BTTS board email. Every one has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also turn it off in My bets.
- To fix problems, answer feedback, and improve Valanos.
- To keep the service secure, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
Who helps us run Valanos
- Render hosts the app and its database (United States).
- Resend delivers our emails, so it processes your email address when we send you one.
- Match data comes from public football data sources. We don't send them any information about you.
These providers only process data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account details and logged bets: until you delete your account.
- Sign-in sessions: 30 days. Password-reset links: 30 minutes.
- Anonymous statistics: up to 400 days.
- Feedback: as long as useful to improve the service. If you delete your account, we remove your email from it.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time: My bets → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account, your logged bets and your sessions.
- Get a copy or a correction of your data by emailing support@oddsjudge.com.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EU and UK), you may have further rights to access, correct, delete or object to how we use your data. Email us and we'll help. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Age
Valanos is for adults: 21 or older in the United States, and of legal gambling age where you live elsewhere. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, hash passwords, store only scrambled versions of sign-in and reset tokens, and limit repeated sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use elsewhere.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll point it out in the app or by email.
